Ben Minsk
Founder & CEO
Our Story
Social, uplifting, simple to learn, and endlessly fun were just a few of the reasons Rt. 12 Pickle owner Ben Minsk fell in love with the sport of pickleball.
What began as a casual invitation from a friend to hit a few (pickle) balls, quickly turned into a healthy obsession with the incredibly magnetic sport and an opportunity for a new kind of club in Worcester County.
While community courts are a great
place to start and play on sunny days,
Ben envisioned a dedicated, year-round community for local pickleball lovers to play, gather, and learn in a climate-controlled, welcoming setting. The goal was to replicate the tennis club experience, but exclusively for pickleball fans.
With nine indoor pickleball courts, an on-site area serving beer and wine, and group and private lessons, clinics, and leagues, Rt. 12 Pickle is ready to welcome you to our thriving, passionate, pickleball community!

Pickleball, Ted completed several triathlons, including the Louisville Ironman in 2017. Ted is the proud father of three daughters and began his coaching career at the Youth League level. He then went on to coach the varsity softball program at Groton-Dunstable for eight years and later coached the softball program at Regis College for two years. When Ted is not on the pickleball courts, he enjoys running, cycling, jumping on his paddleboard, and spending time with his four grandchildren, who have also developed a love for pickleball. Ted is passionate about the sport and loves to share his knowledge and experience with others to help them enjoy the game as much as he does.
